Frequently Asked Questions

·       What are your hours of operation?

We open for happy hour Monday thru Friday at 4 p.m. and for grill-side dining every day at 5 p.m.

Genji stops seating at 9:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9 p.m. on Sundays.

·       What is your reservation policy?

At Genji we strongly encourage making reservations for your dining experience, however a reservation is not a guaranteed seating time. It is an order of seating guarantee at an estimated time based on our normal reservation flow giving your party preference over walk-in customers. Teppanyaki table side cooking is as unique in the manner of customer flow as it is in the preparation of the meal. The balance of customer promptness, chef availability, and table availability make it difficult to be exact in the reservation times. Our goal is to meet all reservation times and make your dinner a great experience, but at times circumstances beyond our control make this difficult. If a wait is anticipated Genji will advise you as soon as possible and give you an estimate of the length of the wait.

To be seated the entire party must be present. If someone is willing to order for the missing member(s), placements will be saved and the party will be seated.

If the entire party is not present and ready to be seated within 15 minutes of the reservation time the order of seating guarantee will lapse. The party will be seated as quickly as possible without delaying guests with reservations who have arrived on time.

·       Is there a kid’s menu available?

Yes!  We have kid portions of Sesame Chicken, Teriyaki Steak, Hibachi Shrimp or Chicken Fingers and French Fries.  All of the meals (except chicken fingers) will also come with steamed rice and grilled vegetables.

·       Is there a party room for a private gathering?

Yes!  We have a private room that can seat up to 40 guests.

·       Does Genji do anything special for birthdays?

We love birthdays at Genji!  Upon request and for a small additional charge, the birthday person will be serenaded in classic Japanese Karaoke fashion, have an on the spot Polaroid picture taken and receive a fresh cut pineapple for dessert.  Just ask for a ‘Banzai’ when making your reservation or when you are seated.
